Tacos or burgers? ๐Ÿค” We have you sorted with our new Fish taco burger ~ Smashed fish sticks misted with lime juice and layered with cheese, a tortilla shell dusted with spicy taco seasoning, cos lettuce, a tomato, pickle & red onion rescued salsa, topped with a fiery Ghost pepper & sour cream sauce, all sandwiched between a buttery, Shake Out potato bun. Bringing the vibes of Summer with this deliciously fresh and spicy special edition burg.

What are rescued ingredients?

*Food waste is an unfortunate reality in the food business. We all need to do our bit and here at Shake Out weโ€™re always looking for new and innovative ways to lessen our impact. We have some pretty clever minds in our team, minds that see beyond the norm, to what could and should be.

Our special edition Blob of feta burger in May was a great example of how premium ingredients can be used in their entirety. We utilised several premium ingredients in our rescued salsa and whipped beetroot feta ~ ingredients that were otherwise needlessly destined to waste, to complement our core burger ingredients. While one burger or side may only require the outer, inner or half of an ingredient, the other half is equally fresh and delicious and with a little thoughtful planning can be used to complement even more epic burgers and sides.

Weโ€™re continuing our ingredient rescue journey, utilising fresh red onions, pickled in our own brine in-store, to make our Fish taco burger extra tasty.
