Shake Out Browns Bay closure

Shake Out along with its Franchise partner have announced their intention to close the Shake Out Browns Bay store.

The store was the first franchised Shake Out in New Zealand, following the success of the original concept store in Smales Farm.

COVID-19 has brought the industry unforeseen circumstances. As the impact of COVID-19 was felt and other situational components, a full review was carried out on this particular site. With a lack of confidence in the store's position, the decision was made not to re-open the store. Shake Out hopes to reposition the Browns Bay store, within Auckland, at a more stable time.

This closure brings an end to many shared burgers, sides and shakes on the shore of Browns Bay. Shake Out not only thanks the community for embracing the brand, but extends a sincere thank you to the hardworking and tight-knit local staff who were part of the Shake Out team.

The Shake Out Smales Farm store will welcome any customers in search of their Shake Out fix. Shake out Smales Farm will also honour any vouchers or promotion previously attributed to the Browns Bay store - included the Mailbox vouchers distributed prior to lockdown - until 1/7/2020* (*this date may be subject to change and be moved out dependent on COVID-19 levels).

The decision to close the business is effective as of 20 April 2020.
